I am thinking about only shooting black and white photos for the whole summer. that’s how i’m seeing everything lately. it only seems honest.
I love that idea, but stop being afraid of color ;) maybe I should switch back to b&w for a minute, too.. i bet it would be amazing composition practice.
With the Canon 40D and beyond (that i’m aware of) if you’re shooting in RAW (and you better be) you can shoot in black and white, but it still records all the color information. Something I like to do when I’m borrowing my dad’s camera. But ya gots to make sure you’re shooting in RAW… because you can’t get the color info if you shoot in jpeg. I made this mistake once… but it was only 8 photos… and noticed that the counter was like around 400 and i was like “Oh shoot, I’m shooting jpeg…” and reset to RAW and the counter went down to 140 and I was like “That’s more like it.”
